Makiling Aikido is a unified group of dojos established to instruct students who are willing to practice traditional Aikido according to the teachings of its founder O'Sensei - Morihei Ueshiba and the Aikikai Foundation.

Makiling Aikido is an affiliate of Aikido Philippines Inc., accredited by the Aikikai Foundation, Aikido World Headquarters - Hombu Dojo, Tokyo, Japan.

The name Makiling was taken from the mountain Mt. Maria Makiling located at Los Baños, Laguna Philippines where the first Makiling Aikido dojo was established by Manolo Villegas Sensei in 1991. His co-founder Xavier Baylon Sensei established the second Makiling Aikido dojo (Southside) at Las Piñas, City Philippines. Expanding ever since, Makiling Aikido have been training and producing Yudanshas who have established their own dojos locally and abroad.
